Garfield Tennis Courts

The courts are presently under construction and unusable.

Two tennis courts at the high school that are also used for pickleball. The surface is not well-maintained, so watch your footing. Theres a fence that keeps the balls in play and table and benches offer spectators or people waiting their turn a place to watch the games. Regular maintenance and upkeep would ensure the courts remain in good condition for many years. Overall, the tennis courts are a great asset to the school and the community.

Courts are definitely slanted. It can be so noisy from the buses and trucks on Cherry that it's hard to hear the people you're playing with. The lights work but take a long few minutes to come on. There is little to no shade on this court. There are no proper pickleball lines, but people have seemingly tried to add them. If you have a net to bring, there's one set of full lines and another set with one line missing (a somewhat important line, but it's better than nothing). The parking lot is also ridiculously bad. The spots are incredibly narrow, and it's a one-way lot but communicated with the worst signage imaginable. Street parking is usually available within a block or two.

Nice neighborhood but the court needs some resurfacing and leveling. For casual players it should suffice though.

Great for throwing a ball around for your dog. Fully enclosed so you don't have to worry about them getting out. Pretty terrible for actually playing tennis. One net is completely ruined while the other has its tensioning mechanism unbolted.
